REALLY? CROCHETED DISH CLOTHS? YOU'RE KIDDING! RIGHT?

Chosen crochet stitch adds loft and nubs for scrubbing.

Sold in sets of 2.

Makes Washing Dishes Almost Fun

While Georgia was recuperating from knee surgery, Susan, who came from Minnesota to assist - found herself with time on her hands. (Georgia in the background - "Always a dangerous thing.")

Sewing on an unfamiliar machine is a challenge, so Susan decided to devote her time to knitting and crochet.

Sister Nancy was enlisted to pick up yarn on her trip up to Georgia's mountain cabin.

Now read the title of this post. Making sense now??

One day, after quite a stack had accumulated, Susan decided to list some dish cloths in her Etsy shop, http://www.SusanJonDesigns.etsy.com. She took some photos, wrote the description and completed her first posting. She stepped away from the computer. Came back in 10 minutes and the first pair had sold!

Again, refer to the title of this post!

Cotton crocheted dish cloths are WONDERFUL.
Look here for the available colors.

OUR STUDIOS - WORKING FROM HOME - Part 2

Nancy loves her roses. She's lucky to live in an area where roses bloom in APRIL?? Doesn't happen in Minnesota or in the northern California mountains.

OUR STUDIOS - WORKING FROM HOME

A recent post showed Susan's beautiful crab apple trees in full bloom. A beautiful reminder of some of the benefits of working at home in our studios.

Georgia has a lovely setting in the mountains of Northern California and is visited by these charming friends twice daily.

Nancy is surrounded by beautiful roses, pictures posted soon.

We're lucky!

Designed to hold 30 business cards, this style is the perfect card holder for the discerning business woman. We've designed an elastic cord and button closure to give a little extra stretch for bigger loads.

Our card holder will also hold credit cards (about 15 cards), some cell phones, some digital cameras, and gift cards. As a mini wallet, you can carry your license, a credit card or two, ATM card, and some cash, stow it in a pocket, and you're off for the day, totally hands free!

We love these. These make a great gift - especially if they contain a gift card!!

BABE IN TOTAL CONTROL OF HERSELF - IN ALL COLORS

You know this is our most popular fabric. People ask us where they can get it, or will we will we sell some to them. Georgia found this fabric in a warehouse in San Francisco and bought what they had. We found another small amount in a warehouse in Minnesota. It's hard to find so we're glad we have enough to keep our customers supplied for awhile - and in a variety of colors.
We don't sell this fabric, only finished products.

Cuz if we're going to be Bitchy - we should be color coordinated!

May 1st - Beauty and Memories

The top picture is the view from Susan's front yard. Bottom picture is from her backyard.
Surrounded in pink, May 1st, 2010. Life is good.

Historically, when both trees are in full bloom, the wind picks up and blows all the blossoms off the trees and in a day or so we have to clean up a blanket of pink petals. And, true to form, the wind is rippling through the trees right now.

May 1st used to be such a fun day when we three sisters were girls. We celebrated "May Basket Day" by making baskets (I should say Mom made the baskets) out of saved empty milk cartons, cut down, covered with crepe paper, and handles attached. We filled them with popcorn and candy. We especially loved the combination of flavors when the puffy pastel party mints met popcorn - delicious! We sneakily delivered them to our friends, hanging the basket on the doorknob, ringing the bell, and running like crazy to hide. The recipient opened the door, found the basket, and immediately came out to find us. A chase ensued. And once caught, you got a kiss! The scene repeated many times in each of the neighboring yards. It was a greatly anticipated day each year.

I think I'll go buy some of those puffy mints and make some popcorn. And sit on my deck and watch my pink tree.
